today, i woke up next to the love of my life. we snuggled, made coffee, baked pumpkin walnut muffins. there was lots of kitchen dancing to big band music. we spent the afternoon at a local antiques store (yeah Support Small Business Saturday! yeah antique and very affordable handheld pasta cutter!), then ate leftover homemade chicken pot pie.
it's nearly two months since i drove cross-country from OR to MI. two months since i moved back to my home state after more than three years on the west coast. i'm caught up with my family, friends and their lives. i'm gainfully, joyfully employed, doing what i'm meant to do. i'm with the one i'm meant to be with, and reveling in the ease and flow and harmony we share. i'm baking more bread, reading more books, learning more skills...just generally taking more and more steps toward lining up my talk with my walk. toward becoming Real. and at the moment, i have malted hot chocolate and soft sweatpants.
living the dream, guys. Living. The. Dream.
there's going to be lots of yarn in this blog. lots of projects and creative pursuits, too. also lots of cooking, and gratitude, and positivity. gardening, politics, love, and some God. life is incredible, and i'm so happy you're along for the ride!
